High Museum of Art is an art museum in Atlanta, Georgia located on Peachtree Street, Midtown Atlanta, which is the city’s art district. The museum was founded in 1905 by the Atlanta Art Association. It is the home of a renowned collection of historical and contemporary art and special exhibitions.
COVID Guidelines
Visitors are required to comply with all restrictions based upon the current CDC guidance and the Mayor’s Executive Order. The wearing of masks is required for all visitors over 2 years old. The museum also offers hand-sanitizing stations at elevators.
Tickets
Purchasing a general admission pass will give you access to the galleries. Events are ticketed separately; events require pre-registration. Children under 6 are free of charge. Tickets to the High Museum includes access to special exhibits and permanent collection. All active-duty, reserves, veterans, and retired members of the Armed Forces of the US are entitled to free admission to the museum only valid military ID is asked to avail this.
Museum Pass

Individuals with Passholders will enjoy unlimited daytime admission to its collection and exhibitions also free access to daytime programs such as Toddler Thursdays and Conversation Pieces. Group Visits

All tour requests must be submitted a minimum of one month before the desired date of visit.

Art Conservations
The High Museum has varieties of collections such as Photography, Decorative Arts and Design, African, American, European and Modern and Contemporary Art as well as Folk and Self-Taught Art.
Art Conservation in the museum is sponsored by the Atlanta Art Conservation Center (AACC), a non-profit organization that treats objects ranging from family photographs, antiques, heirlooms to some of the most historical art pieces.
Classes
Aside from occasional gallery visitation, The High Museum also offers special series of classes throughout the year for youth and adults. Learn new and different techniques from local artists. Both classes for the youth and adults are offered.
